Curriculum Vitae
Bertemu kembali! Kenapa ye? Escapism from doing actual work? Erk~ :D
Well, you can be a judge of that yourself.
Personal Information
I am a very hard-working student with good achievements in my studies. I am very particular with anything I am working on and always make sure that it is finished up to a high standard. It could be said that I am quite a perfectionist. I also have very good leadership skills and can handle most situations pretty well. I was chosen as student of the year consecutively for the year 2004 and 2005.
My particular interest would be in the area of science as it explains the reasoning behind life and the matters surrounding it. It is hope that I could further my studies in this field and contribute something to the society.
I also enjoy reading very much in as it opens up the windows to the outside world leading to a variety of great knowledge available around us. In addition to that, my hobbies include collecting stamps and coins from different countries all over the world. This has given me the opportunities to learn more about these countries through their different cultures and customs.
Bila baca perenggan Personal Information tu, terasa "Wow, pandainya goreng ayat dulu2 tu".
Extra-Curricular Activities
I have always been a responsible person since I was in primary school being a school prefect for four years in the year 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2002. During my secondary education at Manchester Academy, I was successful in my application to become a school ambassador at the end of Year 9 in 2004. I have since represented the school in many important events as well as acting as an escort for many VIPs. Some of my duties and roles involved being an usher at Parents’ Evenings, organising the registration for parents and students during school events, escorting visitors around the school, escorting Year 6 students on Induction Day and many more responsibilities. Being an ambassador has taught me a lot of things through experience which I cannot gain anywhere else. I feel a certain loyalty to the school when I am representing myself as part of the school to parents and other outside contacts.
At Manchester Academy, I have taken part in the sponsored events such as the one run by the Spanish Department to send school equipments to Venezuela. I have also supported staff in their efforts to raise money for charity events, for example, the earthquake in India and tsunami in Indonesia. I was also involved in raising-money towards the humanitarian aid for the Palestinians. For the last three years I have donated cans for the Senior Citizens’ Christmas parcels which is an effort to strengthen the relationship between the school and the community.
I have attended the ‘Central Manchester Aimhigher Conference’ which is an introduction to the world of work assisting the Year 10 and Year 11 Students in deciding their next step in the path towards their chosen careers. I have also taken part in events organised by the University of Manchester, which have involved college talks, mock interviews, self-research programmes and attending lectures in the university’s medical department.
In April 2006, I have been chosen to represent and lead the school team for ‘Chemquiz’ organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry in association with the Manchester Metropolitan University. The quiz was attended by about 40 schools from around the Greater Manchester.
Panjangnya~ Nasib baik la tak buat macam tu dah utk CV for internship ni. Kalau tak, memang semestinya lebih 4 muka surat. Tak perlu baca kalau tak sanggup. This is for my own amusement anyway.
Employment History
Date: 13/06/2005 to 17/06/2005
Company: St Luke’s CE Primary School, Manchester, UK
Job Title: Classroom Assistant
Supervisor: Mrs Pauline H Palmer
Position: Foundation Stage/KS1 Co-ordinator
As part of the education’s curriculum requirement, I had a Work Experience Placement towards the end of Year 10 in 2005. I applied for the position of classroom assistant at St Luke’s CE Primary School and was accepted as the classroom assistant for the Year 2 Class. I was pleased to get this opportunity as I know it could help me greatly with my communication skills, both with those younger and older than myself.
My main duties involved preparing breakfast for the students attending the Breakfast Club in the morning, assisting the class teacher with the lessons planned for the day, arranging the class, creating a new filing system for the books, managing the pupils during playtime and also handling small groups of pupils in certain subjects. I soon learnt that having the day plan ahead is very important as the teachers would be able to prepare any equipments or materials needed in advance. Health and safety also plays a big part in a primary school such as this and it taught me to be more careful, especially with anything concerning the pupils.
At the beginning of my one-week placement, I felt that I was thrown in at the deep end and had to learn the class procedures very quickly. I may have felt this way because I was quite shy at first. Soon, I gained confidence as all members of the school, including my supervisor and the headmistress, were very supportive. This experience has improved my communication skills greatly and taught me the meaning of responsibility. Even though I am not planning to work in the primary teaching profession, it is the experience gained that is of the greater value. My supervisor was very pleased at the way in which I adapted to this ‘world of work’ experience and I received a very good report from the school (please refer to the ‘Employer’s Report’ attached).
This is what I like best about the education system over there!
Wassalamu'alaikum wrm wbt

How about my Wafa'?
Well..I'm not really planning to write an entry, yet alone finish writing up other half-done entries in draft. Especially during this so-called hard times...that I'm beginning to think would I ever manage to go through 3rd Year 1st Sem. However, I just finished reading a blog entry at Kak Aliyah's and Akh Mus'ab's shared blog and I seriously love this one entry that I would like to share it here.
Before that, the first thing that attracted me into reading that entry is the title "Adventures with Wafa': a prologue". Why is it so? Firstly - I don't know why - , the first thought that came into mind was "Wah, this must be about her car". And the second thought following the previous one, "Hey, that's the name I want to give for my first car (to-be...don't know when la kan)...it's taken already!". The custom of naming our belongings with names started when I was in the UK. There we have cars by the name of Andalus, Pak Pandir, Nusaibah and I don't remember what else. Even the shared printer and the bicycle in the house that I shared with the sisters there got their own names! Once I have my own laptop, I named it "Andalus II" (Andalus I was a car in the Manchester, hehe).
The custom continues when I joined the K-Perak family. Here in UTP we used to have Syifa' (now Syifa' is gone and the owner replaced her with Alyona) and Waseem. Currently, Najah, Fateh and Fish is still here with Dinar joining the family. Apart from that we have Muneer (the projector which "gives out light") and Basyeer (not official yet - the speaker which is "the bearer of good news"). And since then, I have my own dream to name my car by the name of Wafa' - faithfulness...janji setia yang tidak berbelah bahagi. My sisters here know that very well. Until I read that blog entry! Kak Aliyah's car is named Wafa' too. Would that put me off naming my car-to-be Wafa'? Of course not! I love the name. I can always change it to Wafaa' anyway :D
Hey, Rufaidah...where are you going rambling out of topic? hehe
Back to my main point, the entry is really2 good. Applicable also to me who have not driven a car for almost 2 years (lesen P pun dah nak habis dah..). I guess I'm still looking for that moment when I'll be really FORCED into driving...I suppose only then I'll have enough courage to drive. What's with internship coming up, I'm really worried with my inability to drive, huhu :S
Here...have a read and tell me what you think. The part in green below is the one that I added.
-----------------------
Adventures with Wafa’: the prologue
I used to utterly loath driving. And I still do, to a certain extend. I hated it so much, that even a car unused at home and a neighbourhood deprived of public transport did not push me to the steering wheel. -- so true, even with my brothers and sisters nagging at home...I'm still not up to it yet.
I remember Ummi threatening me, that she would not give a cent if I were to take a refresher course a few years from now, when I start working, to start driving again. Being adamant that I would be married by then, I simply shook my head and said, “OK”. -- would I be married by then? haha..yang pasti sebelum intern ni mmg tak sempat dah la.
Ungrateful creature hehehe.
I had a phobia against driving. My driving course took twice as long as others, as I kept cancelling lessons with IMKEDA, having cold feet against driving in KL. And while I passed my driving test, I refused to touch the wheel ever again.
Miraculously, two short events changed my life… And put many people in danger (ke?) for quite some time, I think. Kauthar would attest to that.
One, was one day, we were in the car coming back from a program- me with my murabbi when suddenly out of the blue, one of them posed the question- “Apa kata Alya beli kereta?” -- I had this too "Along, kalau awak minta kereta mesti dapat. Minta la dari parents awak" (erk, minta apanye, drive pun tak reti)
Honestly, while my lips muttered a quiet yes, all I thought was how ridiculous the idea was. Not only did I not drive, I did not even like it!
Huu. end of event number 1.
Event number 2.
One fine day, during summer holidays in Malaysia.
The phone rang, and bibik came running to me in the kitchen, saying it was for me. Which was weird, since most of my friends knew my mobile number. It was a kakak, who was the mas’ulah of our big summer program then, who took my number from the database we filled in before coming home for summer- hence the use of the house number.
“Aliyyah, awak datang program kita kat Alang Sedayu tu kan?”
“Datang!”
“Haa. Awak ada kereta kan, jadi runner ya.”
If my eyeballs could really bulge out of its socket, it would. Me? Me, the Aliyyah who remembers not the function of the gear. Me, who hasn’t driven for 3 magnificent years.
“Akak, saya dah 3 tahun tak drive..”
“Awak ada kereta kan? Parents awak mesti bagi awak keluar kan? Lesen hidup kan? Haa then apa lagi? Boleh ya. Akak takde orang lain ni..”
Hurm…
That marked, the start of the journey, of how pure hatred slowly dissolved, and a love formed between wafa’ and her owner… -- when would that be for me??
In it, is a deep lesson. An enlightening journey, a beautiful experience..
It is a story of a human’s potential. To change. Of islah. Of hijrah- from a state deep down below the sea level, to emerge victorious for the sake of Allah. -- this is the part that really touched me deep.
Pray that I would start driving soon ok?
Break-time over, I better get back to the huge pile of works waiting.
Until we meet again. Next time I feel an urge to write, I would write, insyaAllah...like what I'm doing now...so that the blog would not be left with the same entry.
Wassalamu'alaikum wrm wbt

Hari 1 Muallimah Rufaidah: Menyelami hati pendidik
"Haaa...? (terperanjat atas idea ayah) Jauh jugak tu nak jalan, dah la hujan"
"Alaa..takpe.
Ana menghela nafas lega...."fuh, nasib baik tak kena ajar syariah...dah lupa dah Bahasa Arab dulu2 ni". Tiba2 Muallimah Hajar bersuara "Ni sapa ganti Muallimah Syadatul ni...Rufaidah ye? Nah jadual awak...akademik. Guru kelas tahun 1 Yahya ye. Dah boleh masuk kelas ambil kedatangan murid". Wah, kusangka ada briefing lain rupanya terus kena masuk kelas. Marker pens pun takde lagi ni, apetah lagi buku rujukan. Seorang lagi muallimah menyuakan fail berkaitan murid-murid tahun 1 Yahya.
Ambil Kehadiran 1 Yahya
Bila difikirkan balik, ada gaya macam first meeting department/event je...nama, course, apa perasaan/harapan join event/department ni...haha~
Sebenarnya waktu tu dah agak buntu dan blur tak tahu nak buat apa, sebab tu saja nak budak-budak ni bercakap...boleh kenal nama + personaliti sorang-sorang dan build-up their self-confidence. Selesai suai kenal, resah menunggu cikgu matapelajaran seterusnya masuk. Idea pagi-pagi pun tak kunjung tiba.
"Erm..muallimah dah takde idea la nak buat apa? Ada idea tak?" << boleh la pulak cikgu tanya anak murid kan :D
"Muallimah kita main games....kita buat tulis2"
"Muallimah takde marker la, buku pun takde. Nak buat apa ye?"
"Muallimah...sebelum buat apa2 kena baca doa dulu la~"<< alamak, dah terkantoi lupa nak suruh baca doa
"Oh, ha'ah la...ok, awak Irfan kan? Baca doa kuat2 ye...yang lain ikut" << cover malu :P
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim...allahummaftah 'alaina....
Tersenyum sendiri ana tengok bakal pemimpin ummah ini. Moga kekal soleh solehah ye adik2.
Seterusnya muallimah yang mengajar English masuk, ana segera keluar dengan perasaan lega kerana berjaya mengharungi cabaran pertama.
Di Bilik Guru
Masuk bilik guru, cari tempat duduk dan mula duduk melepas lelah. Tak ternampak pula kelibat tiga orang lagi muallimah ganti tu, ada kelas agaknya. Beberapa orang muallimah yang pernah mengajar ana sewaktu zaman sekolah rendah dahulu mula menegur "Laa...dah besar dah anak murid muallimah. Dah jadi cikgu jugak dah ni". Seronok diberi layanan sebegitu sekali, tak sangka muallim muallimah masih ingat lagi..hehe.
Sudahnya ana pun asyik tersasul sekejap bahasakan diri "akak" sekejap bahasakan diri "muallimah".
"Pendidikan Seni? Nak ajar apa ni. Kertas pun tak bawak", hati mula berbisik. Apa lagi...buat kuiz je :D Seperti biasa...perkenalkan diri, suai kenal dengan murid-murid: nama, apa aktiviti waktu cuti. Kemudian ana mula buat quiz spelling...aulad (murid lelaki) lawan banat (murid perempuan).
Tulisan Jawi 2 Khidir
Ana seperti biasa nak buat kuiz lagi. Tak nak aulad lawan banat....jadi berpecah la kepada tiga kumpulan; 2 kumpulan aulad, 1 kumpulan banat. Nak bagi nama kumpulan pun dah ambil masa dekat 10 minit. Banyak kisah kat sini.
Kena buat persediaan awal supaya tiada lagi kes blur esok, takkan hari-hari nak buat kuiz kan.
Ok lah....muallimah berhenti dulu rasanya. Sudah teramat panjang. Mahu tengok kembali lessons plan for tomorrow (macam la ada proper2 sangat pun).
Wassalamu'alaikum wrm wbt.
Muallim, muallimah, cikgu, teacher, sir, madam, miss....terima kasih atas segalanya. Baru kumengerti jerih payahnya bergelar seorang guru.

Sebetulnya ana sungguh teruja untuk kembali ke Al-Hidayah, biarpun kini sebagai seorang guru ganti (haha...seminggu je pun). Al-Hidayah banyak meyimpan kenangan manis ana sepanjang tempoh di sekolah rendah. Ana teringat kata-kata seorang pakcik yang ana dengar baru pagi tadi;
"Sekolah Al-Hidayah ni dah lama dah dengan kita...sejak 1989 lagi...anak-anak kita generasi awal dahulu pun kini dah bekerja, dah berumah tangga, dah mempunyai anak sendiri pun."Al-Hidayah akan memasuki tahunnya yang ke-21 pada tahun ini. A very big number if you asked me :) Kalau kita, 21 tahun tu sudah dikira melangkah ke alam kematangan.

Kakak dah kat mana sekarang?".

About Rufaidah?
Have you wondered who is Rufaidah really?
Err...well...this is not an entry about the blog owner. I have no intention to talk about myself today. I want to share this with those who might not know Rufaidah.
Once upon a time I used to feel weird having this name because "Rufaidah" is such a rare name. So a few years ago I asked mama where did she get this name...mama said that when she was pregnant with me, mama stumbled upon this name whilst reading a sirah book. Out of curiosity, I googled my own name and I felt proud to know that mama named me after a great muslimah. Although I might not be able to fulfilled mama's wish for me to be a doctor/nurse, I hope that I may follow her with her kind and empathetic personality. After all the meaning of Rufaidah is "anak kecil yang memberi dengan membantu".
Let's read on and increase our tsaqofah (general knowledge)!
along: i like Wafaa', Rayyan, Ilham, Usamah and Nuha :)
----------------------
Rufaidah binti Sa'ad - First Nurse In Islam

Rufaidah's father was a physician. She learned medical care by working as his assistant. Her history illustrates all the attributes expected of a good nurse. She was kind and empathetic. She was a capable leader and organizer, able to mobilize and get others to produce good work. She had clinical skills that she shared with the other nurses whom she trained and worked with. She did not confine her nursing to the clinical situation. She went out to the community and tried to solve the social problems that lead to disease. She was both a public health nurse and a social worker.
When the Islamic state was well established in Madina, Rufaidah devoted herself to nursing the Muslim sick. In peace time she set up a tent outside the Prophet's mosque in Madina where she nursed the sick. During war she led groups of volunteer nurses who went to the battlefield and treated the casualties. She participated in the battles of Badr, Uhud, Khandaq, Khaibar, and others. Rufaidah's field hospital tent became very famous during the battles and the Prophet used to direct that the casualties be carried to her.
At the battle of the trench (ghazwat al khandaq), Rufaidah set up her hospital tent at the battlefield. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructed that Sa'ad bin Ma'adh who had been injured in battle be moved to the tent. Rufaidah nursed him, carefully removed the arrow from his forearm and achieved homeostasis. The prophet visited Sa'ad in the hospital tent several times a day. Sa'ad was to die later at the battle of Bani Quraidhat.
Rufaidah had trained a group of women companions as nurses. When the Prophet's army was getting ready to go to the battle of Khaibar, Rufaidah and the group of volunteer nurses went to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They asked him for permission "Oh messenger of Allah, we want to go out with you to the battle and treat the injured and help Muslims as much as we can". The Prophet gave them permission to go. The nurse volunteers did such a good job that the Prophet assigned a share of the booty to Rufaidah. Her share was equivalent to that of soldiers who had actually fought. This was in recognition of her medical and nursing work.
Rufaidah's contribution was not confined only to nursing the injured. She was involved in social work in the community. She came to the assistance of every Muslim in need: the poor, the orphans, or the handicapped. She looked after the orphans, nursed them, and taught them.
Rufaidah had a kind and empathetic personality that soothed the patients in addition to the medical care that she provided. The human touch is a very important aspect of nursing that is unfortunately being forgotten as the balance between the human touch and technology in nursing is increasingly tilted in favor of technology.
History has recorded names of women who worked with Rufaidah: Umm Ammara, Aminah, Umm Ayman, Safiyat, Umm Sulaim, and Hind. Other Muslim women who were famous as nurses were: Ku'ayibat, Aminah bint Abi Qays al Ghifariyat, Umm 'Atiyyah al Ansariyat, and Nusaibat bint Ka'ab al Maziniyyat.

Cuti-cuti Malaysia
It's been some time...
Been not so busy and then very busy since the holidays started.
The holiday started on 26th Nov and the new semester will commence on 25th Jan 2010 (cuti 2 bulan tu!).
The first few days at home were pretty much normal with the usual back-at-home routine (i.e: qadha' tidur, kemas beg, kemas bilik, kemas almari). Managed to bake the infamous (ye ke? hehe..) moist chocolate cake on the evening of 10 Zulhijjah (did not manage to bake it the night before because I was so tired once I'm done with unloading the bags from the car, into the house and then up to my room) and then the next two days managed to finish reading "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult. This book taught me a lot about family relationships and sacrifice. I would fully recommend you to read it!
Then it got pretty boring with me being so lazy to do anything else except lounging around reading Reader's Digest, surfing the net, watching tv (althought there're not that many interesting programmes to watch), a few house chores and so on. On Thursday (3rd December) I got quite excited packing. What for? Well...I was on my way then to KISDAR in Kuala Kangsar to help out with PPWN (Perhimpunan Perwakilan Wanita Nasional ke-16) and PPN (Perhimpunan Perwakilan Nasional ke-19) as JIM Perak is the host for this year. Then life became very hectic and tiring for the past 4 days. But it was great I tell you...GREAT with capitals! Got to meet-up with the sisters who're doing practical right now (miss them lots!), mu'ayashah with the KPM sisters, learning many things from the pakcik makcik and also meeting those makciks which I have not seen since I was a little girl. It's kinda funny to hear your kindergarten teacher saying stuff like "dah besar dah rufaidah sekarang ni.." and also makcik2 with their "dulu kecik2 makcik dukung rufaidah ni..besar2 ni je (whilst pointing to her 3-year old daughter)...sama2 main dgn anak2 makcik lain time tgh usrah".
I was with JK Keselamatan under Pakcik Salim and Kak Tah. It's an interesting experience being security (plus 1001 other adhoc tasks we had to do) but it feels nice when pakcik makcik acknowledge Karisma's help with PPN. We felt that we're welcomed with open arms among them. This is exactly what's meant with the phrase "hikmatus syuyukh wa hamasatus syabab" (kebijaksanaan orang tua dan semangat orang muda) I have often heard and again repeated by Dr Har (mantan Ketua Wanita JIM for 10 years running and Naib Presiden JIM 2009-2011) in her Ucapan Dasar. I can truly see that those trio from Medtech (Khairuddin, Syazwan and Adib) really does make a difference when they were with JK Media PPN. Bak kata seorang kakak, "Boleh nampak la style medtech tu..smart2" hehe.
It does boost-up the spirit of us (the Gen-Y) to see those pakcik makcik who have been on this path for 20-30 years maybe. I know it's not easy to stay steadfast on this path. Many times we've heard that the challenge as a student is nothing much compared to when you have a career, married with children and other commitments. When you are in that situation and you're still active with tarbiyah and da'wah, then that is something to look-up to. The challenges we're facing today as a student is nothing much and if we can't juggle our responsibilities and manage our time now...we'll never be able to do so in the future with responsibilities double as much and much less time. Makcik Nor made me teary-eyed when she said: "Hebat la jemaah kan? boleh kumpul balik semua dulu yang kecik2...skrg dh besar2...kumpul sama2 dengan pakcik makcik yg dh lame2 ni" << more or less so, it was in Terengganu dialect. She was saying this after pointing out how many of us who are so little when our mums were having usrah together once upon a time are now together in the same hall.
This is why I like going to PPN (or other programmes with pakcik makcik for that matter). I might not totally understand what's being discussed yet, but it's the semangat juang from them that I envy, that I want to instill in myself for the future. Ya muqallibal quluub, tsabbit quluubana 'ala deenik. I have learnt a lot from the past few days and I will always treasure it. Experiences are truly the best teacher.
Hurmm..so what's next?
InsyaAllah on Wednesday we might be going to KL because Ayah is having some sort of a conference there (Kak Hannan, jom date kt KLCC :D). This weekend I might be helping out with qiam KRJ. Then on 20th December, there will be Makcik Faezah's and Pakcik Selamat's kenduri for their son, Harith, to attend to before going to Kedah for a small family trip from 21st t 24th December. After that I will be in PJ for PKN (Perhimpunan Karisma Nasional) from 25th until 26th December. Might stay for one more day to jalan2 ke rumah Kak Filzah or Kak Hannan. Then I will have one more month of holiday (that is if I don't get to be MAS facee for Jan 2010). We'll see what will the plan be then.
Sorry for the long post without pictures.
Can't be bothered with finding appropriate images to include..hehe.
Maybe there'll be a picture post once I got our pictures during PPN (especially of JK Keselamatan in that nice blue batik blouse :D).
Until then..wassalamu'alaykum wrm.
along: just realised that even though the title is in malay, the entry is pretty much fully-english =P

What is ukhuwah really?
It's been a while. Hurmm..I want to talk about ukhuwah today. Ukhuwah is a difficult thing. You can be so close to a person but yet still do not understand her fully. You might have known a person for less than a month...but it seems like she's the long-lost twin you've been dreaming of...instantly compatible :D. And you could have known her for like forever...but there are times that you feel like she is a total stranger.
I dont want to go into details about how ukhuwah is in Islam, how there are many hadiths and ayah from the Quran touching on this. I am sure my readers are well aware of that. All I want to say is that...when you're close to someone, and you made a small mistake...we're so easily hurt by that. My sister once said; Kenapa kita senang terasa dengan orang yang kita sayang? And I have to agree with that. Ukhuwah for me is about give and take. It's not just about being on the receiving end but sometimes you have to give to receive. If you want more, you have to give more. How could you expect others to constantly give to you without you being on the giving end too? Otherwise, it's not called ukhuwah, that is not friendship.
I've met many kinds of people. And not many are as close to my heart as those called "sisters" to me. Not merely sister by blood relations, but this is the sisters who are with me through thick and thin, understanding me inside out (sometimes maybe :P). It's not easy for us to be like this. It requires a lot of sacrifices, not just any sacrifices...but sacrifices of your precious times to listen to them (sometimes we don't need words, all we need are someone to listen to us), sacrifices in terms of you own feelings (sometimes you have to hold back what you want for the sake of your sisters, because you know she needs it more)...and maybe even sacrificing yourself. These are the things that glued us together, that sometimes people look at us and wonder "How could they be so close?" or people look on with jealousy "Why are they not like that with me?". Let me tell you this, if you want a share of that..you have to do your part. It's a two-way thing. We cannot be selfish and want all that love to ourselves only right ;)
Wherever you go, you will always find these people you can call "sisters". Here is a blog entry from Kak Zaatil way back in 2006. This was when we went for a picnic not far from my house on Oxney Road. As usuals there will be hiccups along the way, and this is the way we make up for it. We had a bit of a misunderstanding, with the effort of another sister we manage to get some stuff to eat (mainly fast foods from the many fast food outlets along Curry Miles) and walk together to Plattfield in the lovely spring afternoon. Oh, how I miss those moments.
Berehlah di Plattfield...
Gambar dan caption sahaja dulu. Belum ada masa untuk menulis entrynya.
Sakura ungu mempesona. Gugurnya di riba kembara.
Ladies in Black. Sori kepada yang kena censor wajahnya.(along: try finding me :D)
In the mean time, this'll just have to do. *winks*
Photography skills Sheila yang amat mantap.
Gambar yang saya ambil cikai sahaja. Jeles kat Sheila!
Teka ni bunga apa? Bunga tulip Sheila (janggal kan?)
Hehe. Takpelah gambar saya ambik tak comel pun. At least bunga saya lagi comel daripada Sheila. Bunga curik dari Plattfield semuanya.Alhamdulillah, even though it will never be the same, I found the same sweet people here in UTP. Thank you sisters. And I am sorry if I am not a good sister to you guys...and I am sorry if there are others who felt left out. It is never my intention to do so. Of course you're always welcomed among us.
I have a lot to write, many things in mind at the moment. But as usuals, the moods are not quite there. I have another final paper to go before I end my second year here. Pray for me ok! More importantly, pray that I have the will to revise for the upcoming paper: Process Instrumentation.
Until then, wassalamu'alaikum wrm wbt.

Are YOU tough enough?
Just a quick update in this exam periods.
I like the post so much that I want to put it here too. Every words are nicely written and is kinda soothing too =)
Enjoy reading and then practise what you read.
---------------
copied from Baitussyifa' (Akh Harith's and Kak Wardiah's)
May this be a good reminder to all of us, especially during this so-called tough times ;)
Exam periods are tough times. Really.
Not because it is the period when the clever is differentiated from the genius.
Or the Acers from the Average.
They are really the time to distinguish between the hopeful and the hopeless.
From Umar ibn Al-Khattab from the Prophet (PBUH) who said:
“If only you relied on Allah a true reliance, He would provide sustenance for you just as He does the birds: They fly out in the morning empty and return in the afternoon with full stomachs.”
(Ahmad, An-Nasaa’I, Ibn Majah, Al-Hakim and At-Tirmidhi who said: “Hassan sahih”)
It is the time when the people of perseverance are rewarded and quitters quit.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Whoever says (upon leaving his house):
"(I begin in the Name of Allah; I trust in Allah; there is no altering of conditions but by the Power of Allah),’ it will be said to him: ‘You are guided, defended and protected.’ The devil will go far away from him.”
(Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa'i)
It is the key to tell between the people of iman, patience and tawakkal from the people of doubt, complaint and regret.
So dear brothers and sisters, dont despair and never lose hope..
Tough times never last, but tough people do..
…when the going gets tough, the tough gets going…
Selamat bermujahadah menuju Allah!!

Aku Cinta Allah
Salam kasih sayang buat semua yang membaca. (Hehe..sekarang tengah mode lovey-dovey...tengah berkasih sayang bersedih-sedih mengenangkan mereka yang bakal grad + pergi intern)
Just a quick update though.
Spent some time yesterday sending a few songs and nasyeeds to Kak Hannan...and she sent a few too. Very nice~ Addicted to them...playing the songs over and over again since yesterday until right now. Even when I went to the lake this morning with Kak Hannan, both of us are sitting quietly contemplating on life whilst listening to these songs...sambil bagi makan ikan, sambil tadabbur alam. I will definitely miss moments like these...truly! Huhu, beberapa hari ni mood tak stabil..sedih je...lagi2 kat yahoogroup SISMA dengan segala bagai ayat sweet2 tu T_T
Here's the lyric for one of the song I'm currently addicted to. It reminds me that Allah is here with us, no matter what. It is us who're always ungrateful, looking for Him only when the time suits. Allah jangan tinggalkan aku lagi..
Seperti yang lain
Yang Kau sayang
Yang Kau rindukan
Yang Kau cintai
*
Aku lemah tanpaMu aku lelah
Aku sungguh tak berdaya
Tolongku
Tolongku
Yaa Allah
Reff:
Setiap air mataku mengalir
Allah aku lemah dan tak berarti
Setiap derai tangis membasahi
Allah jangan tinggalkan aku lagi
**
Aku sayang Allah
Aku rindu Allah
Aku Cinta Allah
Back to *
Back to Reff

Back to Reff
Wassalamualaikum wrm wbt.

Dah nak exam dah...?
Sepanjang hidupku?
Exam akan bermula Rabu hadapan. Persediaan ke arah itu? Hurmm..a point to ponder.
Tiap kali exam datang menjengah..mesti ana letak gambar ni. Untuk kali ini, ana letak lagi. Suit the moments ;)

Tagged!
How's ur iman today people? Hope it is better than yesterday, if not...don't feel degraded. Ups and downs in ur iman level is normal as long as it doesn't go beyond the boundaries. We are all human after all, we are not angels without al-hawa' and an-nafs...so it is only normal that our iman won't stay static at the same level all the time.
When I first created this blog, I've told you before that I've got 3 tags waiting right? And those tags are still there waiting to be answered :P I'm a bit lazy with this tag thingie. Anyway, here's a tag from mr terry bogart, thank god it's short and sweet and so I'm a little bit more willing to do it.
The Rule
1. Copy the picture below, and paste it in your post.
2. Tag 10 friends and ask them to do the same. Here I would like to tag my beloved sisters in the big family.
Cik Asma' >> sorry if this is not in accordance with your blog's theme :P
Cik Hazwani >> nanny berjaya..hehe
Cik Fatimah >> a loving sister who's great in the kitchen
Cik Filzah >> never-ending love for her Najah, Tuffah, Rayna....lagi?
Cik Hafsah >> someone I've known longest among the sisters
Cik Farhin >> pencinta Salahuddin al-Ayubi yang setia
Cik Izzati >> may ur new-found strength to get back up lead u straight on this path.
Cik Maymunah >> yeah...i know dear. i wont put ur blog address here anymore :D
Cik Nola >> my cute sister whom i admire for her eagerness to learn more and more
Gengbiskutmeri >> I would like to see Kak Hannan or Kak Mira to answer this tag and post it in the blog
Amal islami is not an easy thing to do..what more talking about 100% amal islami. But that is what all of us (me and you who's doing the tag..and whoever out there who's reading this) should always aim to do though. I know it's not easy, as all of us have often heard..."jalan ke syurga tidak dihampar dengan permaidani merah nan lembut. However for us Muslims who have understood where we're heading and what is our final destination...we will always stay steadfast on this path because we know the rewards waiting for us in Jannah are incomparable to what is here, right? So sisters, moga kita tetap hati tak berbelah bagi ye.
May Allah bless~
Wassalamu'alaikum wrm wbt.
along: rindu sisters al-manchesteri jugak..huhu~

Raya datang lagi... (II)
I'll let the pictures do the talking from this point onwards ok.
nasi dagang with gulai ikan, gulai ayam, gulai daging, telur rebus, sambal udang
ketupat palas + lemang with serunding
tapai
my 3 guys: abang, ayah, luqman
che su (adik bongsu ayah), che pah (kakak atas che su), umi (adik bawah ayah), mama no (kakak ayah..anak ke-2), che chik (kakak atas che nie), che nie (kakak atas che pah)
zikru rahmat (with spec), zulilham (cucu sulung... in purple), amirul hakim (in red with kopiah), iman daniel (in red with songkok)
syahmi in yellow (anak che pah) + aliff in blue (anak che nie) interframe
aisyah natirah, aliff najmi, afifah nisrina
(a= anie, n = norman..sweet kan?)
syahmi rahimi, shasha rabihah
(s = sharipah, r = razali..cute jgk)
nur adlina...panggil 'dina' (sangat petah bercakap!)
adik dina dalam perut ummi
belakang > luqman, qilah, mama, ayah, abang, najihah
depan > along, idah
tiada gambar keluarga:
family ayah chik + che ti with firdaus, kak ngah (tak igt nama..huhu), alisa, ayuni
family ayah (abg sulung ayah) + ibu with nazreen and nasaruddin
mama no (short for 'nora') and che chik tidak berkeluarga
As for my mom, she's the youngest out of 6 siblings. All her brothers and sisters got more than 6 children each (it's already hard trying to remember all their names) and since they are all a lot older, we rarely spend time together doing kid's stuff (main parit, tangkap ikan etc) when I was little. And now most of them are married (huhu...sepupu2 ni semua jenis kawen awal....20, 21, 22 semua dh selamat dah) with their own children which I dont even get to meet most of them yet. The only way to identify whose children is this and that is by looking at their baju raya. "Ahaa...she's wearing purple, this must be Kak Comel's daughter. That one is wearing red same as Kak Aishah..." and so on. Only my mom (i'm oldest) and her older sister (the oldest is Iwan, only 2 years older than me) are left without any menantu + cucu yet...huhu.
Jangan sampai tak kenal sedara sendiri pulak nnt kan. Rasanya dengan big family Karisma (SISMA especially :D) lagi rapat kot dari big family sendiri. Itulah indahnya ukhuwah di jalan ini.
Semoga ketemu lagi.
Wassalamu'alaikum wrm wbt.
along: best kan buat baju warna tema ikut family. baru tahun ketiga family ana buat mcm ni (sblm ni tak pernah teringin pulak)..tahun 2007 purple, tahun 2008 hijau, tahun 2009 maroon (+ merah2 yg sesat)...tahun depan biru?
